George Adjin-Tettey, BS, CNMT, RT (N)(MR)
Oncology Image Quality Control Specialist II

MERIT Employee Spotlight is a series featuring team members introducing themselves, outlining their role at MERIT, and explaining why they chose to work in the clinical trials industry.

What is your role at MERIT?

I am an Imaging Quality Control Specialist II for the Oncology team at MERIT. As a certified Nuclear Medicine and MRI technologist with over a decade of experience in hybrid PET/MRI imaging, I bring a unique blend of multi-modality skills and expertise to an experienced and robust oncology team.

What do you like about working at MERIT?

I love being a part of a dynamic and growing organization. I feel a sense of purpose and pride every day that I can contribute to the success of MERIT and to the field of clinical research.

Why did you get into clinical research?

My strong interest in science and medicine along with a passion to help improve lives are the main factors that led me to pursue a career in clinical research. In addition, I worked with a world-renowned neurocognitive researcher for many years as a Radiology technologist. I drew a lot of inspiration from working alongside him, and he played a crucial role in cultivating my interest in clinical research.

What do you do in your free time?

My children play sports on travel teams, so I spend most of my time either traveling to games or coaching them at home. I am also an avid sports fan. When I am not traveling to games or coaching them, I would spend that time watching Basketball, Track and Field or European Soccer.
