What is your role at MERIT?
I am an Associate Medical Director, providing medical and scientific leadership for ophthalmology imaging endpoint programs. My role includes performing medical review of imaging cases and grading results, serving as Reader or Senior Reader on projects, overseeing reader training and performance, monitoring inter-reader variability, and ensuring the quality and consistency of study documents and imaging endpoint assessments.
What do you like about working at MERIT?
I love that we always strive for excellence. We constantly challenge ourselves to improve as a team, share the latest research and grading tips, and learn from one another. There is also a great atmosphere, with opportunities to grow.
Why did you get into clinical research?
I am passionate about innovation, healthcare, and science. Clinical research gives me the opportunity to contribute to the field in a creative and meaningful way – whether that means exploring new endpoints, improving methodologies, or ensuring the highest level of accuracy and quality in our work. I enjoy the combination of scientific rigor, problem-solving, and innovation that clinical research brings.
What do you do in your free time?
I live in Madrid, Spain. When I am not logged into EXCELSIOR™, I love spending time with my family, traveling the world, sewing, and reading.
