MERIT Employee Spotlight is a series featuring team members introducing themselves, outlining their role at MERIT, and explaining why they chose to work in the clinical trials industry.

What is your role at MERIT?

As an Oncology Sales Associate at MERIT, I focus on building long-lasting partnerships with biotech and pharmaceutical companies to support their clinical imaging needs. I work closely with clinical operations, outsourcing, and medical teams to understand study objectives and present tailored imaging solutions — including blinded independent central review (BICR), image data management, and regulatory-ready deliverables. I work with clients on the East Coast and in Europe. My responsibilities include identifying and engaging prospective sponsors, managing proposals, and supporting contract execution.

What do you like about working at MERIT?

I enjoy the combination of independence, account ownership, and strong team support at MERIT. I have full responsibility for my accounts, which allows me to build meaningful relationships with clients and tailor solutions that truly fit their needs. At the same time, I always feel supported — our teams in operations and medical affairs are incredibly accessible and collaborative when it comes to moving opportunities forward.

I also really enjoy the travel aspect of the role, which includes attending conferences and connecting with clients face-to-face. Those in-person interactions help deepen partnerships and make the work feel even more rewarding.

Why did you get into clinical research?

I started my career in financial services but had a strong interest in transitioning into medical sales. I was drawn to the impact that life sciences and clinical development have on patients, and I wanted to be part of that mission.

What do you do in your free time?

In my free time, I love to travel, hike, ski, swim, try new food, and attend games and concerts. I reside in the Boston area.
