MERIT Employee Spotlight is a series featuring team members introducing themselves and explaining why they chose to work in the clinical trials industry and at MERIT.
What is your role at MERIT?
At MERIT, I support projects throughout their entire lifecycle, helping bring teams together to turn plans into results. I coordinate schedules, track progress, manage project documentation, and keep stakeholders updated along the way. By staying on top of key milestones, anticipating challenges, and fostering collaboration across teams, I help ensure projects stay organized, efficient, and on track for success.
What is your background?
I hold a bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutics and a Master of Public Health degree from The University of Hong Kong. Prior to joining MERIT, I spent four years in clinical operations at multinational pharmaceutical companies, supporting the planning and execution of clinical research projects. My academic background and industry experience have provided me with a strong foundation in healthcare, project coordination, and cross-functional collaboration.
What do you like about working at MERIT?
One of the things I enjoy most about working at MERIT is the culture. There’s a strong sense of collaboration, and it feels like everyone is working toward improving and growing together. I also really appreciate how the company invests in its people by encouraging new ideas, supporting professional development, and creating opportunities to grow. On top of that, MERIT gives me the opportunity to engage with a diverse network of healthcare organizations and professionals, which continually broadens my perspective.
What do you do in your free time?
Traveling is one of my biggest passions, and I take every opportunity to explore new countries and cultures. As an outgoing person, I enjoy connecting with people from different backgrounds, sharing experiences, and learning from their perspectives. These interactions often broaden my understanding of the world and inspire personal growth. When I’m not traveling, I enjoy reading books and watching documentaries, which give me time to reflect, learn, and reconnect with myself.
