MERIT Employee Spotlight is a series featuring team members introducing themselves, outlining their role at MERIT, and explaining why they chose to work in the clinical trials industry.
What is your role at MERIT?
As a Partnerships Associate at MERIT, I focus on building and nurturing relationships with CROs and sponsors. My role involves identifying new collaboration opportunities, supporting business development efforts, and helping position MERIT as a trusted clinical trial partner. I work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure we align our capabilities with the evolving needs of our partners.
What do you like about working at MERIT?
What I appreciate most about MERIT is the collaborative and forward-thinking culture. There’s a real team mentality here, everyone genuinely wants to see each other succeed, and that energy translates into the quality of work we deliver. I also love having the opportunity to think strategically and contribute to how we grow and expand our partnerships.
Why did you get into clinical research?
I’ve always been drawn to healthcare and science, which led me to study biology and begin my career in healthcare-related roles. After graduating with my biology degree, I landed in the healthcare space where I helped build relationships more on the provider side. Clinical research felt like a natural progression; it’s where innovation meets real patient impact. Being part of an industry that advances treatments and improves outcomes is incredibly meaningful to me.
How do you see your position fitting into the company as a whole?
Partnerships play a key role in connecting MERIT’s expertise to organizations that need specialized imaging and trial support. By building strong external relationships and understanding market needs, we help drive growth while ensuring our internal teams can continue delivering exceptional service and scientific excellence.
What do you do in your free time?
I recently got married and relocated near Chicago, IL, which has been such an exciting new chapter! Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband, family, and friends. I’m passionate about writing (I’ve even self-published a poetry book!), attending local events, and meeting new people. I also enjoy traveling and trying new experiences. Personal growth is important to me — whether that’s through creative outlets, volunteering, or continuing to learn professionally.
